It’s always nice to add another pizza recipe into the repertoire: I decided to rock out a White Garlic Pizza since The Husband and The Boy like to order such things when we have an occasional take-away night. They absolutely love this, and I have been making it on the regular for the past few months. You can alter the quantities of garlic and red pepper flakes depending on how garlicky or spicy you like such things. My guys like things with tons of garlic and spice. This pizza gets nice and crispy. I hope you love it!

1 ball pizza dough (16 oz.) at room temperature
1/4 cup fresh garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. to 1 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (depends on how spicy you like things)
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
Shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese (2 cups) (The 4-cheese Italian mix is also good on this!)
Olive oil
Flour for dusting surface to roll out dough
Directions
- The day you are making the pizza, drizzle a teaspoon or two of olive oil onto a 17.25-by-11.5 inch-baking sheet. Coat the baking sheet with the oil using a paper towel. Set aside.
- Lightly flour a board or countertop so the dough will not stick. Place ball of dough onto the floured surface. Sprinkle a spoonful of flour on top. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to fit a 17.25 by 11.5 inch-baking sheet. It is best to continuously turn the dough at 90 degree angles and flip it over to prevent the dough from tearing or sticking while rolling it out. Add a sprinkle of flour as needed.
- Gently place the dough into the prepared baking sheet. Using the tines of a regular fork. gently poke holes throughout the entire rolled out dough. Cover with a tea towel and set aside for at least an hour or up to 8 hours.
- When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove tea towel from baking sheet. Place prepared baking sheet on the second rack in the hot oven for 5 minutes.
- Remove baking sheet from oven. Carefully, brush the slightly browned dough with olive oil using a pastry brush. Evenly top with chopped garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano and Italian seasoning. Top with shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil.
- Return pizza to oven to bake for 8-10 minutes, depending on how dark and crispy you like your pizza. Remove from oven. Let set for 5 minutes. Cut and serve.
