My Black Beans are the perfect side for any Mexican Night. Feel free to make them ahead and reheat before you get your meal or party started!

Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil

  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin

  • Splash of hot sauce

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 tsp. fresh black pepper

  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice

Directions

  • In a pan over medium heat, add oil. Once oil is heated, add jalapeno, garlic and onion. Saute for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add beans, cumin, hot pepper sauce and salt and pepper. Cook for about five more minutes.
  • Add cilantro and lime juice. Cook for another minute. Serve.
